Rhona Pierce:

When I started this podcast, it was about challenging the rules of work, especially in hiring. But somewhere along the way, I realized it's not just about what rules we break, it's about what we build in their place. And that's what Workfluencer is all about. Welcome back, kind of. This is gonna feel a little different today because it's not just another season or another series.

Rhona Pierce:

It's a whole new podcast. Throughout the playbook was where I explored how work was changing. It was about calling out outdated hiring practices, building personal brands, and rethinking leadership. But the more conversations I had, the more I realized there was something bigger happening, something more powerful than just rejecting old systems. People weren't just throwing out playbooks.

Rhona Pierce:

They were writing their own, and the common thread, content. Over time, I noticed a shift, and not just in the guests, but in you, the listeners, in the DMs, in the questions I kept getting. You weren't just interested in bold takes about hiring. You were asking about building trust online, attracting talent or opportunity through content, balancing influence and a full time job, and making your brand visible without making it all about you. That's when Workfluencers started taking shape.

Rhona Pierce:

Because whether you're a recruiter, a founder, a team lead, or a marketer, if you're using content to change how we talk about work, this podcast is for you. Workfluencer is the podcast for professionals using content to build influence, attract talent, create opportunity, all from within the walls of corporate. It's not just for full time creators. It's for the talent acquisition leader turning hiring pain points into LinkedIn posts. For the employer brand manager launching video campaigns from the shadows.

Rhona Pierce:

For the recruiter who went viral being real about burnout. And for the founder who figured out that storytelling does way more than any job board ever will. These are the creators who still clock in, or at least that's how they started. This podcast will explore how they build trust, what happened when content turned into offers, clients, and opportunities, and sometimes even pressure. We'll talk strategy, content, platforms, monetization techniques, and the real reason content unlocks career leverage, even if you never wanna be an influencer.

Rhona Pierce:

There are four kinds of people that I had in mind when I created Workfluencer. First, the corporate content creator. You're pumping out post before your 9AM stand up. You're building a personal brand that supports your career and the company that you work for. You wanna speak up without stepping on toes.

Rhona Pierce:

Second, the side hustler. You're juggling a full time job and a part time business. You're squeezing in content creation between client calls, team meetings, and bedtime. You know this works. You just need a plan.

Rhona Pierce:

Third, the creator founder. You've turned your content into a client attraction machine. Now you're building systems, hiring help, and trying to stay true to your voice. And finally, the content enabler. You might not be the person in front of the camera.

Rhona Pierce:

You're the one enabling your team to show up online. You're in talent acquisition, employer branding, recruitment marketing. You manage internal creators. You fight for budget, build the approval workflows, and try to make content that doesn't sound like marketing wrote it and legal edited it. This podcast is as much for you as it is for those hitting publish.

Rhona Pierce:

Here's what to expect from Workfluencer. Tactical interviews with professionals who've built influence through content without quitting their jobs, at least most of them. Plus, new recurring segments that bring out the real stories behind the posts. Plea the Fifth, my personal favorite. You saw me launch it at Transform in Vegas A Few Months ago.

Rhona Pierce:

It's a confessional style, rapid fire question segment where guests get to tell you what they really think about recruiting, content, and all the messy things in between, boss reactions. Because how could we talk about being a creator, having a nine to five, and not let you know what people's bosses really think when they go viral? DMs and deals. That's what we all want at the end of the day. So the real ways that these creators have been able to secure brand deals or get monetized for the content that they create.

Rhona Pierce:

And would you post that? Another one of my favorites where my guest and I sit down, look at a piece of content, analyze it, and decide if this is something that we or that they would have posted. We're keeping it honest, insightful, and just a little unfiltered. Because this isn't about hype. It's about building real leverage through content that actually works.

Rhona Pierce:

So here's the ask. If you've been listening since throughout the playbook, thank you. If you're new here, welcome. Either way, I'd love for you to come on this journey, because the people who are shaping the future of work, they're not asking for permission, They're building influence. One post, one story, one video at a time.

Rhona Pierce:

Workfluencer is the podcast for professionals who are changing how we talk about work and those who should be. The first full episode drops next week. Can't wait to share it with you.
